Stony Coral ID Class at Force E – June 16th

FREE 1.5 hour Stony Coral Identification class on Tuesday, June 16th 2015. The class will be held at Force-E Riviera Beach starting at 7 pm to 8:30 pm.

This course will introduce you to the 15 most common species of stony corals found offshore of southeast Florida from Miami-Dade through Martin counties (the northern third of the Florida Reef Tract). You will also learn about the importance, restoration, and protection of coral reefs. A brief (anonymous) written evaluation will be given at the end of the class and all participants will receive a copy of the training documents for future reference. This class is intended for adults, but is also appropriate for young budding marine biologists ages twelve and up.
