Join us for a presentation by Dr. Stefan E. Harzen, Executive Director of Blue Dolphin Research and Consulting, Inc., a consulting company working of the forefront of sustainability, and Chairman of the Taras Oceanographic Foundation. Dr. Harzen has been involved in wild dolphins conservation for over 30 years. He is an accomplished explorer, writer, broadcaster, photographer and musician. He is the author of numerous scientific papers and 2 books – one on bottlenose dolphins in Portugal and another entititled An Ocean of Inspiration – The John Olguin Story.
The Palm Beach Dolphin Project/Coastal Dolphin Conservation is a flagship program of the Foundation, exploring the behavior, habitat use, social lives and communication skills of wild dolphins. In addition to gathering critical baseline data about wild dolphin populations, they shed light on how the health of these top predators, and the conditions of the natural resources they depend upon, directly and indirectly, impact our own health and well-being.
The Team will also review plans for upcoming dives and the Lake Worth Pier & Beach Cleanup. This promises to be a very interesting and informative evening. The location is Vista Center, 2300 N. Jog Road, West Palm Beach, FL. The public is welcome to attend.
